Confidential Professional Support

Being a university student is a time of growth and change. There is pressure to do well, important decisions to make, and unique challenges for each student to overcome. Other life events such as the death or critical illness of loved ones or difficulties in important relationships can make it hard to get necessary tasks done as a student. In addition, some students experience anxiety, depression, substance abuse, or other mental health challenges. Therefore, it is helpful to have someone who can listen and offer support when we face life’s challenges. Counseling provides confidential professional support.

Through an agreement with CHI St. Alexius Health, University of Mary students are provided counseling services by licensed mental health professionals from CHI St. Alexius Health. Additionally, all services are consistent with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services established by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).
